Learn the cyanotype process with local artist Carlos Moreno. In this workshop, participants will create up to 5 unique cyanotype prints using materials like pressed flowers and plants, jewelry, and found objects. Guests are encouraged to bring personal objects from home to experiment with.

Participants will leave with their original prints, a foundational understanding of the cyanotype process, and guidance on how to continue the practice at home.

All materials will be provided, no prior experience necessary.

About your teacher

Carlos Moreno is an Austin-based artist, curator, and founder of Barrio Pop Studio, a scent-powered creative studio exploring memory, material culture, and Latinx identity through craft-based practices. Moreno received his degree in Art History from The University of Texas at Austin and has previously worked with institutions including the Andy Warhol Museum, Artpace, and the Studio Museum in Harlem. His artistic practice centers around analog processes such as cyanotype printing, scent-based installations, and relief printmaking, often drawing inspiration from personal archives, cultural storytelling, and traditional craft methods.
