Leah McKnight is a marbling artist and founder of Fluid State Studio,
where she facilitates creative flow experiences designed to help people
get out of their heads and into the present moment. Her workshops invite
playful exploration with color and water, offering a relaxing space for
self-expression without pressure or perfection. When she's not playing
with paint, she can be found dancing in her living room, petting her
cat’s tummy, or camping by a river.

Immerse yourself in the colorful world of ink marbling and find your flow in this mindful hands-on workshop.
Suminagashi, translated as "floating ink", is an ancient Japanese art form where ink is applied to the surface of water, gently manipulated to create beautiful patterns, and then transferred to a sheet of paper. After learning a number of different marbling techniques, Leah will lead you through a brief meditation, and then you'll be free to sink into the relaxing flow of marbling. You'll leave with at least four one-of-a-kind suminagashi art pieces. This art form is a beautiful exercise in letting go of expectations and sinking into the present moment.
